22 04 15 014We work very closely with the Primary school as we are on the Primary School grounds, going over for PE sessions and other activities in the hall. Nicola and Steph regularly meet with the head of the Primary School and Early Years Foundation teachers to discuss how we can work to improve outcomes for the children. We hope and feel that the good connection with the Primary School makes the transition into the school easier when the time comes. Parents are overall really happy with the transition period, children go and spend a couple of half days and a full day before the summer holidays so when school starts in September the children are used to the surroundings and are happy and comfortable. If children are going to be attending another Primary School, we will make contact with them to arrange transition visits.

“We have seen a huge increase in our child’s confidence during her time at Stonham and we are very grateful for your care and nurturing you have given her. Her time at Pre-School has prepared her for the next big step.”

“Thank you for letting him be himself and embracing and encouraging his imagination. I really appreciate all the effort you have made.”

“We just wanted to say a big thank you. He has really enjoyed his time at Pre-School and I can’t believe how quick it has gone. I know he is going to miss you and the Pre-school very much. You and your team do a fantastic Job. Thank you so much.”
